Amazing

To Shadowknight below me. A second is in the making. Just look it up ;)

Truely and outstanding game! This is incredible. Such unique gameplay, and an original idea. You definately deserved to win that MaxGames contest!
I played the game for over an hour before I finally won. I know, that is quite a long time. But I wasn't bored during the whole thing!!

Maybe for the sequel, make a campaign mode. I know your making a multiplayer, so that would have been my only other suggestion on how to improve. This game is awesome, and I'm sure the sequal will be 10x better!
Great work!

Your in the LL?

Good use of pixel tool. There isn't enough of that in Flashs.
But the game overall was fairly boring. Not a lot happened.

Good music choice, it fit well. And I like that you could change characters and all.
But the game didn't even keep track of score or anything.

Coming up on that 100th submission ;)

lol, I made this in about 2 hours, so yeah it was meant to be something dumb. Thanks for the review buddy, much appreciated.

Great Game

That was an awesome game.
This is what Pico is all about.
I little kid riding on trains fighting robots, flying through the air fighting giant alien squid things.
Awesome.

The only thing I have to say, is that the platformer part of the game didn't last long enough. It took about 2 minutes to do.
I understand it was probably there just so a player could get the feel for the controls, but it would be great if it plaid a bigger part in the game.
Maybe something to keep in mind if you make a similar game sometime.

Also, Once you get M and S together, it kills eveything so fast.
Shooting 3 homing missiles at a time? Outrageous. Haha.

Overall, awesome game, and a great addition to Pico Day 2008!

Great game

I really like it.
One thing that should have been added though, was the ability to submit the password with the enter key. Just a bit less of a pain then clicking for us lazy people.

It took me awhile, but I beat it.
I think this one is easier than the first. I think I got stuck somewhere near the end of the first.

If you ever make Newgrounds Pass 3, you'll have to use Badges and stuff instead of levels. Haha. I know you said this is the last in the series, but I think you've a good thing here that people would enjoy playing more of.
So if you ever make a third, look me up, and I'll help you with a couple ideas ;)

M4KBOT responds:

thank you, for this one I wanted to make it easier at the start and middle and pretty hard at the end. In NGP1 it was just pretty hard all the way through and people complained that they only actually got to play a few levels before they got stuck/had to use a walkthrough. I don't think I'll ever do a NGP3, but if I did, it would be called Newgrounds Pass Classic and it would have all the old level icons on it. But thinking up 30 new levels >.< I don't think I want to do that again.

Good start

I like the concept, I just feel you could have done so much more with it.
Like adding lots more obstacles.
Adding more levels
Adding extra things to be thrown. So there is more intereaction.

I like where you were going with this. I would have liked to seem more.

Pretty Sweet

I thought that was cool. Really well put together flash. One of Ngs best soundboards. But it must be loading from some outside source. Because there is no way that was 18kb. And I think that's actually illegal on Newgrounds.
But, it was still a good flash. So hopefully im not docking you points for no reason

Very nice game

I was around when the first two came out, and I was a fan of them too.
I was excited when I saw your name come up on the portal again! Very good game, definatley stepped up the quality since the last one.
There are some familiar deaths, which are nice to see, along with some new original ones. My favorite was the little green guy. Although I did only find him once.

Overall, great game. Good choice of music. Excellent animationas always.
Keep it up, hope to see more of you around here this year.

My score when I played was 13160

nicely done

i reather liked it. after the first level i thought it looked pretty crappy. but then you threw in the red cubes, and have a diversity of movements that you had to keep up with.

so i found the wide variety in just a few levels rather entertaining. it seemed a little week graphically. but maybe that suited it the best. some musical acompanyment would have been nice too.

i liked it until the last level. which was far to frustrating. it was really long, and all you had to do was get a good rhythem going. i could make it to the part were it alternated red and purple at increasing speeds, but after a few seconds it became random flailing because it moved too fast.

overall though, i enjoyed it. would have been nice to see a few other shapes or squares that did things to,

AcidDimensions responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm surprised you complain about that section - I found the ending far easier than the giant purple box right at the start - I tried to put the more difficult bit at the start of the final level to cut down on having to replay sections. You probably keep getting hit by the very last red skear... that's the only one I'd say comes really quickly.

More shapes... like circles?

Thanks for the review.

Decent

I love how all your games are different.

but this one was a little to slow paced for me. i love the idea, but at the 3rd or 4th level, with all the SLOW spirits. damn they are slow. and the seemed to have some difficulties getting into their line-ups. once for the two line one, i was in the middle of corssing, when they all jumped into the middle trying to get to the other side. i actually laughed when that happened though.

so, if there is a "Spirit Guide 2", i'd like to see faster moving, and less random movement to get into an order.

haha

o man! that was so ridiculous! i love the arm flailing while he walks. haha.

congrats on daily first.

and how the hell did Daneximuz get over 100 million high score? i think we have cheater in out midst

Coaly responds:

Thanks I didn't think it would be so well received, I already banned his ip, thanks.
