Outstanding

It's turned out fantastic.
At first when the flash started with the stick men, I wasn't sure where it was going.
Then i turned it this beautiful, and peacful animation. Something so humble, and colorful, made from something so violent.

It just topped it off for me, when it was so majestic, then it showed the stick men again, and everything was so porrly drawn again, and the bullet was only about 3/4 there after like 4 minutes. I love that bit of humour in just a creative piece.

Very creative, with some very cool effect.
A top notch animation!
If you would have submitted a day earlier, it would have got front page, and enough votes to take the weekly first to, so that's a shame.

Great minds thing alike

I was actually just thinking today, "i wish I had a flash for today, because i'll never be able to submit on February 29th again until 2012"
To bad I didn't have me own project finished. But i'm spending a fair amount of time on it, and didn't want to rush.
Sorry about my own life story there ^_^

The movie though, was rather confusing. Yet interesting in it's own way.
I like the use of the pixel tool, just because it doesn't appear to often in flashes.
I notice the paper towel was squeezed in again (nice)
I like how due to your two distinct styles, it was easy to spot where Nick's part would stop and Moro's would begin. And vise-versa.
Impressive given only a day of work.

MorrowDays responds:

Haha, its like, we did our own 2-hour time trial collab ^_^

I was thinking about you when I put the kitchen roll (as nick called it :D) in as the background, I'll use a new texture in upcoming things though because that one has been in several things, including three of my yeah right parts and this, and treekeepers :)

Good luck with all your stuff goat-man, cant wait to see your 2012 feb 29th submission in four years!

Moro

Amazing!

That was so good!
I thought the first one was decent, but this one was truly amazing! You really went all out, and did it to the best of your ability (and it showed)

I love the transforming. It turned out really good. And i noticed you even squeezed it into the credits. (i would to if it took 3 hours) And i love the fact that Optimus even points out that he's the only one that tranformers. gold!

I love how you really took your reviews to heart. The added subtitles helped a lot!
I just can't think of what else to say! One more thing I noticed, is that didnt the first one end with Prime sarcastically saying, that if they were cancelled, what would replace them? dinosaurs?
I love that you bring it up again here.

Overall a great flash. Great work. SRM Transformers 3?

Battosai810 responds:

First off - glad you saw and liked the first one too! And thanks for noticing the transforming itself - that stuff is really hard!

The last one had a reference to them getting replaced by animals... not sure if I'd do a Beast Wars toon, not quite as close to my heart :)
!
And yeah, I listen to suggestions, and I took the good ones into the toon!

glad you liked it so much! and as for SRM Transformers 3 - who knows! I just might make it if this one does well ;)

thanks for the excellent review!

He's back!

This is the old FrozenSheep stuff I miss :D
Good to see you've still got it in you!

I like the red theme. It just kinda helps shorts like this fit together better.
Some of the drawings were just funny. Like the guy puking out the words. Haha.

Good work. Keep it up.

Disappointing

Sorry, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the originals.
This one was so slow paced. And I couldn't make out what was being said for most of it. The parts that were easy to understand, were the speakonia voices, and they were kinda out of place, and annoying.
Sorry it didn't work out so well.
And are you using a new mic or something? Because the quality was worse since the original.

Nice

Don't worry Morrow, I like your "artsy" style stuff.
Excellent choice of music. You didn't credit the author, so I'm not sure who it was. Possibly you. Haha
Did you draw the Tree and the Treekeepers? There were pretty cool.
And I love the plaid gun! High five for plaid gun! Totally turned the thing into a Treekeeper! Haha!
I always love your papertowel backgrounds too! They look so sweet!

So good work again!

MorrowDays responds:

Thanks! Yeah, I made the music in garageband, so there wasnt really any need to you know, have another credit! :P
I did draw all the stuff, I drew in that line style for a little while so I had a variety of drawings I could use to make it all match, so I chose those two, the tree and the treekeeper, and then the thing on the front of the big treecutter was also a scanned in drawing.
Have fun with the papertowel background, I hope it serves you well. :)

Oh my...

That totally weirded me out.
Maybe the music choice was a little to happy. But i guess it was kinda happy in the end.
There were a few that needed a some more in between frames so it wasn't so jumpy.
I would have liked if you rain effect was a little transparent too.
In the end, the flash was very different. I don't quit understand, but those abstract movie can be interesting still.
I like the message of the movie. It was just a little to out there for me.

PS. How did this movie place in the finals? I know you said top 10, but were did it place out of those 10?

MorrowDays responds:

your display pic totally weirds me out, I've been meaning to tell you :)

I hadnt thought of that, a transparent rain effect is a good idea. Keep in mind this WAS done a year ago when I wasnt as comfortable with flash as I am now, but thats sort of a lame excuse so whatever. In terms of the top ten thing, they show ten in a theatre at a big movie theatre for the festival, but they dont actually rank them 1-10 from there. They do have one overall award for each age group, which are grades 3-6, 7-9, and 10-12, but its really frustrating because this one kid wins it every single year because his parents have like, hollywood equipment and his dads in the business, hes won it 4 years in a row, haha.

I'm like a f*cking on man band!

I love Tenacious D. I've seen serveral attempts at this song on Newgrounds. I myself planned to make a video for this song, but it seems since yours turned out so well, why bother making another one.
So great work, you have soom cool camera angles in there to.

I like your little comment at the end of the movie about the cock ass. That's may favorite part of hi little yelling rant thing ;)

MichaFrario responds:

ha ha thanks!

It was a funny idea

Good choice of music.
His walk/hopping was a little choppy.
I like how you used a real wallpaper on the wall behind the cuboards.
Maybe have a speech bubble for the orange. I had an idea of what he said, but i acctually had to watch it twice to really understand. So it took away from the joke a little

Short and Sweet

I thought it was pretty funny. It has some good jokes.
I would have liked to see you play around with it some more.
Like maybe show clips of one of the characters days. And stuff happening to them throughout the day, putting him in awkwards situations and stuff.

You had some pretty nice voice acting. The sound came through nice and clear.

Maybe some nicer backgrounds.
And maybe try to draw your own dragon. Use onion skin and trace him. That way you don't have to have the annoying little 'speech trangle'.

Overall, decent. Happy trucking censorship day, you trucking piece of ship marshole!
(That's fun to do)

Murray responds:

"I would have liked to see you play around with it some more."

We'll see about Censorship Day 2009. ;)

"And maybe try to draw your own dragon. Use onion skin and trace him. That way you don't have to have the annoying little 'speech trangle'."

I've actually made two attempts at drawing the dragon.

Both didn't turn out very well, but I'll make a third attempt sometime.

"Overall, decent. Happy trucking censorship day, you trucking piece of ship marshole!"

And happy trucking Censorship Day to you too, mothertrucker. XD
