I can't really tell, but I originally played SCGMD way back... I was still in Primary when the fourth game came out -and played it by that time! Like, so much.
It has been so long since I last went by the series, and there's still the same rock music, the same character... basically, what I loved years ago stroke back, untouched.
After coming back, I thought I was all rusty and remembered nothing about anything. Later I'd realize that, I might have not played it for a very long time now, but my skills were kept untouched. After 6 years... and it happens I now made more progress, and more quickly. Unsure if I'll 100% it soon, but the important thing is that, after 6 years, I still got it!
I must say, 2012 was my 'gold year', because I didn't just discover the world of flash games, but then went across this, and has marked my childhood in, not forever, but still for a long time.
Now, for my commentary, you did a great job explaining the story of the series. I also felt hinted when I saw that 'post' by Second Impact in their site. Though for me, a better option is to wait and see what happens. January of this year when the announcement was made isn't old to me, meaning, of course there's still hope.
It's surprising how quickly it comes back to you, eh!? I hadn't played a rhythm game in years when I went to record footage for this video, and I had no problem getting back into it!
It appears the studio is still active when you look at all their social media accounts. So whatever game their teasing is definitely still being made! But I couldn't find anything else hinting at what it might actually end up being.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
Thank you for alerting me that they're making another rhythm game. I don't think it will be SCGMDX but I should keep my eye on it.
Yeah, it must be something new, or else they probably wouldn't have been so cryptic about it. I'm very excited to see what it is though!
